Three things, done properly.
We do not sell hours or coverage counts. Each engagement starts with the same question — what are you trying to say, and to whom — and the work follows from the answer.
Positioning
Deciding what you stand for before anyone else decides for you. Most communications problems turn out to be positioning problems wearing a disguise.
- A messaging framework the whole team can use
- Narrative and proof points, written down
- Naming and language decisions
- What you will not say, and why
Press
Relationships with the journalists who cover your sector, and stories worth their time. We would rather place three pieces that matter than thirty that do not.
- Announcements and press materials
- Commentary and bylined articles
- Journalist briefings and background
- Media training before it is needed
When it goes wrong
Preparation for the difficult week, and a steady hand during it. The work is mostly done in advance; the rest is judgement under time pressure.
- Risk mapping and scenario drafting
- Holding statements ready to go
- Stakeholder and internal comms
- Press handling through the event
Positioning decides what is true and sayable. Press carries it outward. The third area is what holds when something goes wrong — it draws on the first two rather than replacing them.
How we work, and what it costs
A monthly fee for ongoing work, agreed against a scope we review every quarter. Most engagements run this way, with a three-month minimum.
A fixed fee for a defined piece of work: a positioning exercise, a launch, a set of messaging for one moment.
A standing arrangement for organisations that want someone reachable when an issue breaks, without a full retainer.
Fees depend on scope, so they are quoted after a first conversation rather than listed here. We will tell you if what you need is smaller than what we sell.
